Sometimes utterly inconspicuous things sent to the scrap turn out to be a real treasure.
We regret that we did not photograph the table “before”. Gnawed by a dog, with a split tabletop and the absence of some decorative details, it was flooded with black paint so that the relief of many carved elements was invisible.
When we took him to the workshop, we assumed that we would clean it a little, polish it and apply a new dense coat of paint of a beautiful color. But when they started to remove the old coating, we could no longer stop. Natural color and texture were gorgeous!
We conducted a complete high-quality restoration and breathed a second life into it. Or maybe not the second! Who knows how many interiors and hands he has seen ?! The date and the author of the masterpiece has not yet been established.
Complete replacement of countertops: solid oak veneered. Recovery of lost fragments and elements: solid oak. Coating: polyurethane furniture varnish.
